Supplies Needed


Felting Needle (these are extremely sharp and should not be used by children) and felting needle holder
Felting Surface (foam)
Carded Wool (preferably fine or medium-fine wool) or raw fleece
Clear Elastic Jewelry Cord
Hot Water
Needle

Directions

1. Pull off some small pieces of wool and put in hot water. Roll around between your hands to form a circle.
2. After you form a 3/4” ball of wool, pull some small pieces of wool and wrap around the ball.
3. Needle felt the wool into the ball so that it has a smooth surface, using the felting surface and felting needle.
4. Roll between your hands again to smooth the surface of the ball. Repeat 9 times. (You made need more depending on the length of bracelet and the size of the balls.)
5. Thread the clear elastic jewelry cord onto your needle and go through the center of each ball that you made. Tie the cord to end the bracelet.
6. Good Job!! You now have a new bracelet!!

Santa Cap Stocking




Supplies and Tools

  • 1 skein Debbie Mumm Yarn-color of choice


  • 1 skein Jo-Ann Fabric Sensations-cream


  • Size 7 -16" circular needles


  • Size 7 double-pointed needles


  • Yarn needle


  • Ring Marker


  • Scissors




  1. Using circular needles and cream yarn, cast on 64 stitches. Join in round, being careful not to twist stitches. Place marker and knit in K2, P2 ribbing for 2 inches.


  2. Change to contrasting color and knit four rounds. (Switch to double-pointed needles as necessary.)


  3. First decreasing round:*Knit 14, knit 2 tog. Repeat from*. Knit 3 more rounds.


  4. Second decreasing round: *Knit 13, knit 2 tog. Repeat from*. Knit 3 more rounds.


  5. Third decreasing round: *Knit 12, knit 2 tog. Repeat from*. Knit 3 more rounds.


  6. Fourth decreasing round:* Knit 11, knit 2 tog. Repeat from*. Knit 3 more rounds.


  7. Fifth decreasing round:*Knit 10, knit 2 tog. Repeat from*. Knit 3 more rounds.


  8. Sixth decreasing round:*Knit 9, knit 2 tog. Repeat from*. Knit 3 more rounds.


  9. Seventh decreasing round:*Knit 8, knit 2 tog. Repeat from *. Knit 3 more rounds.


  10. Eighth decreasing round:*Knit 7, knit 2 tog. Repeat from*. Knit 3 more rounds.


  11. Ninth decreasing round:*Knit 6, knit 2 tog. Repeat from*. Knit 3 more rounds.


  12. Tenth decreasing round:*Knit 5, knit 2 tog. Repeat from*. Knit 3 more rounds.


  13. Eleventh decreasing round: *Knit 4, knit 2 tog. Repeat from*. Knit 3 more rounds.


  14. Twelfth decreasing round:*Knit 3, knit 2 tog. Repeat from *. Knit 3 more rounds.


  15. Thirteenth decreasing round:*Knit 2, knit 2 tog. Repeat from *. Knit 3 more rounds.


  16. Fortieth decreasing round:*Knit 1, knit 2 tog. Repeat from*.


  17. Cut yarn, leaving a 9" tail. Using yarn needle, thread through remaining stitches. Pull yarn through and secure.


  18. Make a tassel by winding yarn around a 4" piece of cardboard until desired thickness. Tie extra piece of yarn around yarn wrap, cut and tie yarn around tassel and secure on hat.


Finished Size 13" long by 10" at the top of the hat.



I knit loosely, you may need to use bigger needles for desired size.
